When using Stripe or PayPal through Amelia, the most important thing to mention is that Amelia only connects your existing account, and there are no other settings other than what’s described in the Payment Settings section. So, if you’re having issues with payments the issue probably lies with the payment service’s credentials.
If you’re simply testing the payment with “Sandbox” or “Test” mode, you need to enable them first, in Payment Settings and copy your Test credentials from PayPal or Stripe into their corresponding fields.
Also, you cannot perform Test payments with a real credit card, nor can you enable Live payments and run your test card. It’s not going to work as Live payments need a real card #, and test payments need a test card #. If you wish to test the payment, you can get Stripe’s test card details on this link.
If you still can't resolve the issue, please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.
You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.
I can't test the live payments, but I did insert our "Test" credentials and managed to book an event without any issues:
This is the 6pm "Outdoor Yoga Class" (I'll leave the attendee, so you can see that it's paid with Stripe).
This basically verifies that your website is communicating with our Stripe account, so it's working fine. Log into your Stripe account, and see if your website's URL is properly verified. If it's not, this could be causing the issue - and the error message should be right there on the top, when you log in.
Thanks, but I just tried to book the same event while live and with a real credit card, but it still says "Sorry, there was an error processing your payment. Please try again later." And I'm not seeing any error messages in my Stripe account.
Unfortunately, I can't help you with an issue I can't replicate - the connection between your website and our Stripe account works fine, and that means that it should work fine with all accounts if credentials are correct, and if Stripe is properly configured.
If you can provide me with administrator log-in for your website, and your Stripe account, I may be able to check it. Just note, please, that this is a public ticket, so if you're going to leave the log-in credentials, please make sure to enable the PRIVATE response.
If the test mode works, I cannot help you with the wp-admin credentials alone.
I also need you to remove the 2FA from your Stripe account and provide me the log-in credentials for that account. I can only verify that the connection between Stripe and your website works through Amelia using the Test mode - if it works in test mode, it verifies the connection is fine, so only the URL verification comes to mind here, and I can't verify that without your Stripe account.
Remember this is a public ticket, so make sure to enable the PRIVATE response again when you post the credentials for Stripe.
When trying to complete the payment, I get a message saying "Sorry, there was an error processing your payment. Please try again later."
