Hello everybody.
I was making an adjustment in the Spanish translations, to adjust it to the reality of Venezuela, and I came across this error message:
"Your card's expiration year is in the past." Even in English, the message is imprecise, since it could have the current year but the month has already passed.
Actually, I suppose that what is meant is that the date (MM/YY) has already passed, in other words, according to the data provided by the customer, his card is expired.
I think a good translation of this would be:
"Su tarjeta está vencida. Por favor revise la fecha de expiración." in English it could look like: "Your card is expired. Please check the expiration date."
I think that would be a more accurate message, even in English.
In any case, the current translation of the message to Spanish contains an error, since instead of referring to the "card", as the original version of English does, it refers to the "credit card", which is imprecise, since it also it could be a debit card.
Best regards,
Melvin Brea
Hey Melvin
Thank you very much for reporting this. I forwarded it to our management, and we'll see to it that it's changed in the future.
