how can I configure that when a person books an event, he must first confirm the email address, so that you do not accidentally double registered or registered with an incorrect email address?
Unfortunately, Amelia cannot check if emails are correct at the moment, with it's current functionalities.
Customer could misspell gmail and we wouldn't be able to verify and check this. You can edit this information in the backend of the customer registration, in Amelia > Events > Attendees, if you notice a misspelling, however, the errors are noticed in case that customer does not receive a confirmation email.
I'll kindly ask you to add it as a feature suggestion on this page. Features are pushed up on our "to-do" list when there are a lot of customers requesting those features, so having your vote as a customer can be beneficial to this feature being developed sooner.
the answer is not satisfactory. This should be a standard function. So unknown people can book the event with fake e-mails or a customer first registers incorrectly and then books again.
Is there a way around this? Is there a way that only registered users can book the events?
It probably can be done with some custom work, but our developers are very busy at the moment, working on some priority tasks and fixing bugs and issues with our plugins, so they won't be having the time for custom work in near future.
But we can recommend these services for customization:

Hi Kevin,
thank you for the kind reply

But we can recommend these services for customization:
https://codeable.io/?ref=l1TW1
https://wpkraken.io/?tms-plugins
They do develop such solutions, so can you please send your inquiry to them?
Thanks for the feedback
But there is a function from Amelia that customers can log in or have I misunderstood?
Or can you connect Amelia with another member plugin?
Hi Kevin,
thank you for contacting back
Amelia does not have a membership function, but it has a Customer Panel, where customers can log in and see and manage their bookings.
