Hi,
With the correct time zone set in WordPress and the setting "Show booking slots in client time zone" enabled, am I right in saying that when appointments/events are being viewed in a different time zone the times displayed are adjusted according to the time zone set on the site (i.e. country) and the device they are being viewed on? It looks like using a VPN to change IP location has no effect on the times displayed but changing the time zone set on the device does change the times displayed.
This is a potential flaw as it relies on the time being correct on the device to the location it is in and if not set (like some computers) could display the wrong times. Is there a plan to change this to IP geolocation lookup rather than solely relying on the device time zone?
Hi, Chris!
Thank you for choosing Amelia.
Yes, that's correct: Amelia picks time zone from OS settings at the moment.
I will have to reach out to our developers regarding your question since that was never requested before, and I didn't hear that there are gonna be any changes in this logic. However, that would totally make sense.
Best Regards.
