Hey there, Awesome Customers!

Just a heads up: We'll be taking a breather to celebrate International Workers' Day (May 1st and 2nd - Wednesday and Thursday) and Orthodox Easter from Good Friday (May 3rd) through Easter Monday (May 6th). So, from May 1st to May 6th, our team will be off enjoying some well-deserved downtime.

During this time, our customer support will be running on a smaller crew, but don't worry! We'll still be around to help with any urgent matters, though it might take us a bit longer than usual to get back to you.

We'll be back in action at full throttle on May 7th (Tuesday), ready to tackle your questions and requests with gusto!

In the meantime, you can explore our documentation for Amelia and wpDataTables. You'll find loads of helpful resources, including articles and handy video tutorials on YouTube (Amelia's YouTube Channel and wpDataTables' YouTube Channel). These gems might just have the answers you're looking for while we're kicking back.

Thanks a bunch for your understanding and support!

Catch you on the flip side!

Warm regards,

TMS

    Dear Amelia devs,

I am interested in your plugin as I am searching for something that enables booking of predefined and limited days/time while also asking more info to a user and let him pay with Stripe, eventually. I am builing a personal online consultation website, so there is only 1 person that is the owner of the website and he also does consultations. No employees involved.

Seems like Amelia has it all, however I am a bit concerned about a few things:

    1. I would like that the employee is not shown to user and there is no need to select it, as the service I have (1 or 2) are basically just a booking for a online videocall with the owner of the website.
    2. I would like to change the final price based on the info the user fills in. I will have a long list of additional questions to better understand the user, if the user answers the questionnaire, the price is X, if the user does not want to use his time and skips the questionnaire, the price will be X+something (greater).

    Is it possible with Amelia?

    Thanks

    Good day!

    Thank you for your inquiry.

    1. Yes, it is possible. If you have only one Employee (who steel has to be added since Services can't be assigned to the Admin), then the Employee selection drop-down won't be shown on the booking form. Also, Employee selection is not a mandatory step of the booking process, so even if you have more than one Employee, we can hide this drop-down with custom CSS.

    2. Each Service in Amelia is supposed to have a pre-set price that can't be dynamically changed. But I believe that Extras can be a solution in your case: you can add Extras for each Service, and these Extras will have their own prices and 9if required) durations. So, by selecting these Extras, a Customer will have some add-ons to the Service. And that will affect the total price.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

    Best Regards.

    Thank you Liza.

    1. That's good. So as far as I understand, the first thing to appear in the one-step layout is the choice of the service. Then, based on the service chosen, other things will appear.
    2. Ok I am not sure if with Extras I can have the exact outcome I like. Maybe I can solve my case with 2 services? One is with the questionnaire included and costs X €, the other is without questionnaire included (so it is faster to book it) and costs Y €. So my question becomes: can I add more steps and fields if a user chooses a particular service? In the meanwhile, those additional steps and fields would not be present in the user chooses the other service.

    Let me know.

    Good day!

    1. Yes, that's correct.

    2. I'm afraid, this is the only option to achieve an automatically calculated total price that depends on additional options. You can add questions to the booking form through Custom Fields, but these Custom Fields won't affect the price. They will be saved as a note to the Appointment, that's it. Probably, it's possible to add more booking steps to the form, but it will definitely require custom work.

    Best Regards.
