Hey there, Awesome Customers!

Just a heads up: We'll be taking a breather to celebrate International Workers' Day (May 1st and 2nd - Wednesday and Thursday) and Orthodox Easter from Good Friday (May 3rd) through Easter Monday (May 6th). So, from May 1st to May 6th, our team will be off enjoying some well-deserved downtime.

During this time, our customer support will be running on a smaller crew, but don't worry! We'll still be around to help with any urgent matters, though it might take us a bit longer than usual to get back to you.

We'll be back in action at full throttle on May 7th (Tuesday), ready to tackle your questions and requests with gusto!

In the meantime, you can explore our documentation for Amelia and wpDataTables. You'll find loads of helpful resources, including articles and handy video tutorials on YouTube (Amelia's YouTube Channel and wpDataTables' YouTube Channel). These gems might just have the answers you're looking for while we're kicking back.

Thanks a bunch for your understanding and support!

Catch you on the flip side!

Warm regards,

TMS

    Hello,

for one of my clients, I am doing research for the best-fitting solution for a booking/calendar/payment system. I already have one client that uses Amelia, but in an entirely different setting, so I know it's a good plugin, but I have some questions:

    - The situation is an organization that organizes tours for tourists.
    - There will be several guides and several different tours. Each guide can do each tour.

    - It must be possible to set the availability for each guide individually. The default should be that nothing is available, unless the guide selects specific days on which he/she is available.
    - each guide will have their own calendar, which must be synced with Google Calendar or Outlook. Not sync the full calendar to each guide.
    - Is it possible to set a minimum and maximum of participants for each tour? - is it possible for a customer to book multiple places on the tour at once (if they're coming with a group)?
    - is email and SMS notification/reminder service (as in one day before the tour) possible?
    - is payment with iDeal / credit card / paypal / bank transfer possible (such as via Mollie)? Does this require WooCommerce?
    - is it possible to create a separate booking form for each tour? The idea is to create a separate page for each tour, with a booking form at the bottom.

    Thank you for your information!
    Kind regards,
    Boris Hoekmeijer

    Hi, Boris!

    Thank you for your inquiry.

    - It must be possible to set the availability for each guide individually. The default should be that nothing is available, unless the guide selects specific days on which he/she is available. - Yes, it is possible if you use Appointments in Amelia. Srvices aka Appointments adjust to the Employee's working hours, so they can be available only when the Employee they are assigned to doesn't have any other bookings or has a working day.

    - each guide will have their own calendar, which must be synced with Google Calendar or Outlook. Not sync the full calendar to each guide.
    - Yes, it is possible to sync each Employee's appointments with his/her G Cal or Outlook Calendar. The rest of the Appointments that are being performed by another Employee won't be transferred to this Employee's Cal.

    - Is it possible to set a minimum and maximum of participants for each tour? - is it possible for a customer to book multiple places on the tour at once (if they're coming with a group)? - Yes and Yes. however, please note that at the moment only one price can be set for each Service, therefore if you have different entrance prices (for adults and kids, for example), it will require some workaround.

    - is email and SMS notification/reminder service (as in one day before the tour) possible?
    - Yes, there are SMS Reminders that are being sent one day prior to the booked appointment.

    - is payment with iDeal / credit card / paypal / bank transfer possible (such as via Mollie)? Does this require WooCommerce? -
We just integrated Mollie in our most recent update, so yes, now iDeal is available as one of Mollie's payment getaways. Also, Amelia has PayPal, Stripe and WooCommerce integration among its payment systems.

    - is it possible to create a separate booking form for each tour? The idea is to create a separate page for each tour, with a booking form at the bottom. -
Yes, sure. You can add unlimited booking forms to your site. We have shortcodes that can display booking forms for only one Category, one Service or one Employee, so you have plenty of options.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

    Best Regards.

    Hello Liza,

thanks for your elaborate and clear answers, it all sounds good!
Can you also tell me if Amelia supports the use of Google recaptcha for the forms?

Also, I would like to know what exactly the difference is between the basic & pro licensing (apart from 1 or 3 domains). Can you explain that to me?

    Thank you!
    Kind regards,

    BOris

    Hi, Boris!

    I'm glad I could help.

    1. Yes, Amelia supports Google Recaptcha.

    2. The main difference, except for the number of domains, is the Packages feature.

The thing is, it is not possible to book multiple appointments at once with current built-in features in Amelia. But it is on our to-do list for future updates.

However, it can be achieved in two ways:

Option one: is to use Recurring appointments. But it is suitable only if a customer books multiple appointments of the same service. Recurring Appointments are available in all licenses.

Option two: Packages of Services - it is a feature that allows creating packages of multiple appointments (of the same or different services). In that case, the services that are included in the package and the number of appointments will be fixed, and the price will be set for the whole package. You can see more information here. So, this feature is only available for Amelia Pro and Developer licenses.

    Best Regards.

    Hi Liza,

    thanks!

If I understand correctly, that will not be an issue for the website for which I'm considering Amelia. It's a website where tourist tours will be booked. The tours will be similair (one of them a full day, the other one a half day), at this point it's not likely customers will want to book both tours at once.
As long as it is possible that one customer books one tour for multiple people at once, we will be fine.

And if in the future different tours are added, we can always upgrade the license to Pro, correct?

    Regards,
    Boris

    Hi, Boris!

Yes, sure, it is possible to upgrade the license to Pro.

If you upgrade the license, you will have to pay only the difference between the two licenses that will be calculated respectively (so, the time you were using Amelia Basic will be deducted from its price).

Also, I'd like to mention that we have a 15 days money-back guarantee, which means you can purchase Amelia, test it, and if it turns out Amelia doesn't fit your business, you can request a money refund within 15 days after the purchase.

    Best Regards.
