I have installed WPML on my website to translate my whole website fro Dutch (base language) to English. The plugin itself is already perfectly translated. However: all event names en all locations are not translated. That's because they are not in the PO file but they differ per event.
How can I get them translated? WPML cannot edit individual events (whereas it can edit individual pages, taxonomies, etc.).
A small addition: I just found the translation function in Amelia. However: this does not work when switching to English language with help of WPML. The strings still remain in Dutch.
What is the exact trigger for Amelia to show strings in a different language?
With our multitranslation feature, Amelia will pull the translation on the front end once a customer with specific language set in their WordPress opens it.
So, for example, if you used it on Service Name, and you added translations for Dutch, customer who has their WP language setting set to Dutch, will see the Service Name in Dutch.
Also, since you are using WPML please make sure that the page is showing the translation accordingly to the URL language indicator (for example Dutch language cannot show if it's /en in the URL).
The website I have installed both WPML and Amelia on do not allow logged in users. Therefore a visitor has no Wordpress default language.
All English pages are using the /en/ in the URL. Could you please check https://basis.yourwebcreations.nl/en/facilities/ and elaborate on how I can potentially fix this issue? Same goes for emails being sent: they should also be sent in English language as well.
There isn't much that can be found on the frontend unfortunately, so please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.
You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.
Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets.
I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.
I have requested assistance from a developer as there is no inconsistency that I can see in translation settings; so I will contact you back shortly with a solution.
