wpdatatable auto-refresh not working in Web Page with embedded table

    Hi wpdatatables support,

I have set a wpdatatable in config to be 20 seconds or 30 seconds (so greater than 0) in auto-refresh setting and it is refreshing every 20 or 30 seconds in configuration/data page below but the actual embedded data table in the web page is not refreshing every 20 or 30 second?

Another 2 tables have this setting for auto-refresh set to 30 and it also works in the data table embedded into the web page but not for this specific wpdatatable page?

    Kind Regards

    Stuart

    Hello Stuart

    Thank you for your purchase.

I can't say what's going on here without taking a look. This should work normally, and I never heard of this behavior.

Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.

We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.

You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.

    Kind Regards,

    Hi Aleksandar,

It looks like I have solved the issue and I think this is the reason it now works:

The top level table config pane is where you increase the auto-refresh of the table to be 20 or 30 or whatever over 0

However, if there is no data in the table config below or in the table itself in MySQL then the auto-refresh setting does not appear to kick in. It was only when I made a config change in the bottom wpdatatable pane e.g. for adding filtering logic to a column and saving after at least one data row is present in the table that the auto-refresh in web page (for wpdatatable) works

A little frustrating why you need data in table for configurations to save properly at all at the top or lower level but anyway at least I can try and remember this for next time

    Kind Regards

    Stuart
