I've been advised by Liza Verbega that If I want to add an extra field with a required checkbox to be gdpr compliant I could in inserting a <a> link in the customize panel.
But this isnt't working, there is no possibility for the client to click on the link of the data privacy page before submitting the form.

Please this is quite urgent as my client needs her website to be live today.

In the screenshot that you have sent me, there is a # where the URL of the page that your customer should be taken to.
Just replace # with url of that page, inside the " " quotemarks.
