    Hello,

On a website where people can record their appointment in the fitness, customers suddenly receive an email after registration that their appointment has been canceled.

The customers say that they have not clicked on the cancellation link, after canceling they would also end up on the page with a confirmation that they have canceled their appointment.

Is there some way to look through log files or some other way to see how people canceled their appointment? That way I can possibly find out if the customers have clicked the link anyway but just don't want to admit it.

Currently the website is running on version 2.9.2 of Amelia, I know that there is a newer version that is also running on other websites that I maintain but I no longer get automatic updates from the plugin via WordPress itself. If I update it manually to the latest version as described here, will the dates remain in the calendar? Because the plugin is suddenly removed & not actively placed according to the steps.

    Thanks in advance,
    kind regards,
    Arne

    Hi Arne,

thank you for contacting back; I'm sorry to hear that updating did not fix this.

As I couldn't replicate this from my side (I have no bookings so I could not get the link), I'd ask you to please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.

We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.

You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.

    Hi Arne,

Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets.

I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.

Everything is fully set up; the notification customer panel link is in the email (on the bottom as you have requested).

    Hello,

It's not like I asked, now as you set it up, a wordpress user is created per customer when they book for the first time.
As a result, the customers will also receive an email to create a login and this is not the intention that the customer has a login on the website.
They should be able to get an overview of all their appointments by clicking on the link, because some people's antivirus clicks on the link in the mail and their appointment is canceled immediately.

So what should it be, customer books an appointment receives an email with a link to the customer panel and there they can delete their appointment if necessary, that way no appointments can be canceled by antivirus programs.

Is this possible without creating an account for the customer? If not, can there be a step where they have to confirm that they want to delete the appointment when clicking on the cancellation link in the notification email?
If both are not possible, can the mails sent to the customer to set their password be disabled?

I have now temporarily disabled the creation of accounts, so that no more emails are sent, because for security purposes created accounts must first be approved by me (website administrator).

    Thanks in advance,
    kind regards,
    Arne

    Hi Arne,

    thank you for contacting backsmile.png

You can disable the password by going to Amelia > Settings > Roles > Customer and turning off the slider Require password for login.

If that slider is off, customer can simply use only their email to access the Panel.

You can also use Cancel Appointment URL, just make sure that you didn't add Customer Panel URL as a "Successful Cancellation Redirect URL" in Amelia Settings/Notification settings.

    Hello,

I had already disabled the password and customer creation setting on the website at Amelia > Settings > Roles > Customer.
If I now register on the website for an appointment and I click on the link of the customer panel in the notification email, I have to enter my email there and I do not immediately see the list of appointments.
After completing my mail I get no mail with a link to access my appointments.

Is it possible to look again at what is going wrong here (admin login is still active), but just to be clear no login and no account may be created for customers.

    Thanks in advance,
    kind regards,
    Arne

    Hi Arne,

thank you for contacting back; I apologize for the later response, as we don't work on weekends.

Email unfortunately needs to be entered in order for panel to recognize which customer's appointments to show.

    Hello,

So if I want customers to see their appointments without entering a password or email address, then I have to enable the option that a wordpress account is created on the website when booking an appointment. So that people who click on the customer panel link in the mail are forwarded via the token with the link without logging in to the website, correct?

If I don't want customers to receive mail related to the created account and a link to reset their password, then I have to look to turn off this mail notifications that wordpress sends, correct?

    Thanks in advance,
    kind regards,
    Arne

    Hi Arne,

    thank you for contacting back.

Your clients would need to provide their email in order to access the Customer Panel and see their Appointments.

Password is optional and you can turn it off.

This function is not connected to your site login, or the WordPress login, unfortunately.
