I have tried to update Amelia from 3.1.2 to version 3.2 First I tried to update in the WP admin panel, the booking calendar stopped loading. I put back a backup of the website.
Then, I followed the steps to manualy update through FTP as described on your website. After that, all appointments, employees and services went missing. I had to put back a backup of the website in order to get everything up and running again.
Can you please assist how to upgrade to the new version ?
If I understand correctly, you're currently on v3.1.2?
If that is true, please go through your employees and customers. Look for users that don't have the first name or the last name. When you find those users, replace the empty space in their name (or last name) with a dot, a comma, anything but an empty space, and then update the plugin.
When you do, delete cache from your website, and your browser, and test again - that should resolve the issue you're having.
If you can provide me with your database access credentials, I can check this for you real quick.
Just note that this is a public ticket, so make sure to enable the PRIVATE response when adding credentials. Remember, I only need the database credentials, so phpMyAdmin or cPanel.
I see there is now a new update to version 3.3 Will this version update easier ?
I read in another ticket>
Our developers are working on finding what is causing this issue and implementing a permanent solution for all our users but for now updating the plugin manually is the only solution we can offer, we apologize for the inconvenience.
When will you expect this ?
What is your advise on how to clear te website cache ?
When you have questions or issues that are not related to the title of the active ticket can you please open a new one, and we will help you there? In that way, issues and questions which are related to different subjects will be in different tickets so other customers or our support agents can find them easily. Thank you for understanding.
WordPress is an extremely dynamic environment, and there is no set of rules that apply to each installation. Issues with auto-updates are mostly related to hosting provider's limitations, or site owner-imposed limitations. We've modified our code over 10 times now, and while it works for most people, it still doesn't work for some. Our developers have always dedicated themselves to the issue, with each update, but without troubleshooting from the other side (security, hosting, server, etc), there's not much they can do.
The sluggish loading of web pages of your WordPress-created websites can hamper their rankings in significant Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs). Likewise, it prompts sub-par User Experience (UX) and frustrated website guests. What can be the extremely durable fix to this issue? The establishment of WordPress cache plugins is the sole essential. This article will assist you with evaluating the presence of a couple of the decision WordPress cache plug-ins on how they can improve the page loading speed of an average website.

As for cache - you can install a lot of caching plugins that do the job: https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/best-wordpress-caching-plugins
