I need to create a table where I sum 2 columns to create a total for a row and then compare the 2 values to create a best value. See the example, I've attached.
I never mentioned we won't have Max in rows at some point in the future. It's not possible at the moment, but our developers are constantly working on the plugin, so it is possible that it will be added in the future.
I find it astonishing that your company advertises that WPDatatables provides Excel spreadsheet functionality on WordPress, but doesn't have some of the basic functions of Excel.
Can you provide any insights on what the product roadmap looks like?
If it was that easy to implement this, it would've been implemented long ago.
The plugin can create tables linked to Excel files, manual tables by importing Excel files, and they can display tables in an Excel-like editor. Nowhere is it advertised that we provide Excel functionalities in WordPress. Moreover, on almost all pages that even mention Excel (especially the ones regarding formulas) we've added a note that formulae in wpDataTables are nowhere near as complex as in Excel. Also, we've pointed out that only raw values can be imported from Excel, so if you have formulas in your spreadsheet - they will be disregarded in wpDataTables.
After all, wpDataTables is a simple WordPress plugin, while Excel is a software that has been developed by one of the biggest software companies in the world, and they've been doing it for over 30 years.
Hi
I need to create a table where I sum 2 columns to create a total for a row and then compare the 2 values to create a best value. See the example, I've attached.
How can I do that WPDatatables.
- Thanks!
Hello Noman
Thank you for your purchase.
Creating the total column using a formula column is easy, but unfortunately, you are not able to create the best value column.
The mathematical operations wpDataTables support don't have any functionality that would allow this.

Why won't you have this?
If you can do Max Function on a column, seems like you should have it for rows.
This is a basic requirement
Hi again Noman

You can add it as a recommendation on this page.
