I made a test version of my website on a testdomain to check with the client for approval. WHat's the fastest way for me to export the settings to the real domain?
If you are moving the whole website to another domain, we can suggest using the Duplicator Plugin. We use it and it's working fine because it will transfer all the files and also the tables to the database.
If you need to export only Amelia settings and data, you can install Amelia on the new website, and then copy the data from your old database there. You would need to copy data from all of the amelia tables, and the data from the amelia_settings option that is saved in your wp_options table ( it can have another prefix rather than wp_ depending on your database). Please note that this should be done only if you know working with databases.
I figured that out, but when I try to import my amelia data in my new sql database, i just get empty rows. Also amelia_options is missing in my Wp_options. Any ideas?
To answer this question, we will need to see your exported database files. Also, we will need access to your new site (WP admin login) and to the database (PhpMyAdmin or cPanel credentials).
