we use amelia for our wakesurf-slots. so we have only one boat, but multiple "drivers" employees. we use the 2 way calender sync and sometimes 2 or more employees have "free" slots at the same time. So our customers can book the same time multiple times.
Is it possible to book a free slot only one time, even if multiple employees are bookable at the same time?
Unfortunately if you have multiple employees, that means multiple free slots for a customer to book; we don't have a way at the moment of limiting this with current Amelia features.
You can suggest that as a feature request here, or check if there is such request there and vote for it.
I spend a month asking about this feature and it seems its not possible Thomas. Seems mad not allowing to book on slots rather than staff and a serious issue with Amelia.
There have been requests for this feature, absolutely - and I do see the convenience behind it.
It was not included initially as having single slot available is providing the option for more customers to be serviced in one day (the more smaller slots the more customers for businesses that provide limited services).
This is why I asked you to vote for the feature, so that it would have more "points" and be considered developed faster
Yes I understand but not every business that needs a appointment system is based solely on staff. Multiple staff can look after one service but if when a particular service is booked that you want to remove that service elsewhere, it's not possible. You either need to assign a staff member to each service which would overbook the slots available or assign a portion of services to one staff member and when a service is booked, it removes other services. Neither or optimal. If you can assign a number of bookable slots irrespective of staff and services, you then can maximize your daily appointments.
Can I suggest a workaround? If you have only one boat you can connect all employees to the same google calendar and when one of them gets booked it will show as a busy time slot for all other employees as well so no one else will be able to book it

right now we have to check our double-check our calenders that our customers cant book the same slot multiple times.
