    Hi!

I just updated to Amelia 3.2 and then my calendar appears empty. It's not displaying appointments or employees, and when trying to add an appointment in the calendar you can't find services, customers, or employees.

But my appointments can be viewed in the "Appointments" section, it's only the Calendar that is completely blank.

I have checked if my employees has an empty "last name", which none of them have. I have also tried to deactivate all other plugins but the Calendar remains blank.

I was told to submit a ticket and provide admin and database access, which I will do shortly.

Looking forward to hear from you!

    Hi, Caroline!

It turned out that there was an Employee with an "empty" Last Name. Now our Developer edited the Employee, and the Calendar got visible again.

Please check it and confirm if the issue was resolved.

    Best Regards.

    Hi, Rodrigo!

It might be the same reason as I mentioned in my reply to Caroline.

Could you please open the Employees page and check if you have an Employee with an "empty" Last Name? We recently got this bug that causes similar issues, it will be fixed by the next update. But at the moment the only way to resolve it is to edit this Employee by entering the Last Name for him/her.

Also, it can be related to a conflict with another plugin. So, if the "Last Name" solution didn't work, in order to sort it out, you should deactivate all other plugins and see if the issue was resolved. If so, then you should start activating the plugins one by one until you find the problematic one.

    Best Regards.

    Hi again Liza!

That's interesting, I could not find any empty last names when I checked. The calendar worked for a while, but now the whole site is down. Could it be caused by Amelia? My hosting provider is struggling to find the cause and saying some applications are not working as expected?

    Kind regards,

    Caroline

    Caroline,

I guess it's because he found the empty Last Name in the database, not on the Employees page.

I know for sure our developer didn't make any "more serious" changes. Since it's not a staging site, we would ask you to send us a duplicated site if we had to test something...so I'm really confused by that.

I see that now the site is working and the Calendar is visible as well.

    Best Regards.

    Hi!

Oh I see! Thank you so much for the help!

The site is back up yes :)

Oh, you don't happen to know if it's possible to "hide" extra services from frontend booking? My client want to be able to add extra time on services but not let the customer be able to add it themselves. Is there maybe a little hack for that?

Also, is it possible to add a "From Price" on services instead of just "Price"? :)

    Kind regards,

    Caroline

    Caroline,

    Aha, I see.

It's already a weekend in our Time Zone, so our developers will be able to investigate what happened with the site at the beginning of the next week. Hope it's not a big issue that you will have to use the backup version for that time.

Ufff...I guess Extras can be hidden with custom CSS. Can you please send me the link with exact instructions on what to hide?

Theoretically, you can change any strings by modifying them in Loco Translate or Poedit, so the string "Price" as well. But then this word will be changed everywhere, not only on the booking page...not sure that it's the solution you're looking for. And we don't have any alternatives at the moment.

I can confirm this bug - when there's a space in an employee last name text box, the appointments, services nor employees (basically every page related to the employee) will appear as an empty one.

    Waiting for the fix.
    Thank y'all.

    Hi Liza!

Regarding the Extra and custom CSS, my client only wants the one extra service hidden on all services (see attachment), is that possible? :)

I'll test changing the string, thanks :)
