This is expected behavior - the customer remains as a canceled customer until you manually remove them from the appointment. It's been developed in this way because the majority of our customers want to see who canceled the appointment, so they stay listed in red. This doesn't prevent other people from booking the appointment, and if you don't want to see canceled customers, just remove them from the appointment.
I hope you had a good few days of rest! And i hope you're enjoying the weekend too!
In regards of this ticket, i was kind of expecting for the new appointment to come up as a new one below the canceled one, not nested inside the canceled appointment.
Anyway now i know it is a normal behavior to be expected and so we won't be surprised if it happens again :)
We usually do not delete the canceled appointments (except the test ones) as we want to build our statistics in a clean way and so we need to see who cancels as well as who doesn't show up to their appointment and so we do not delete the appointments :)
Anyway, when you come nack online next week you can simply close this ticket as this is a solved topic for me :)
Thank you, the last week was relaxing, but coming back to a lot of tickets kind of lowers the hype of that
Anyway, this is exactly why we're not automatically deleting cancelled appointments, so the appointment is actually based on a time slot, service and employee - if everything's the same, it will be in the same appointment.
If you have any further questions or issues, please feel free to open a new ticket, and we'll gladly help.
Dear Amelia Team
Enjoy your national holiday!
Today we experienced a strange behaviour on our booking system:
- All our services are for single person only
- Customer AAA booked a service some days ago
- Customer AAA canceled their booking yesterday
- Today customer BBB booked the same service in the same time slot where customer AAA had booked before canceling
- Customer AAA and customer BBB appear both in the appointment that has been canceled by customer AAA
Is this the expected behaviour of Amelia ?
We were rather expecing a new appointment entry for customer BBB
Can you confirm this behaviour ?
Thank you in advance
Andy
Hello Andy
Thank you for your kind wishes.
