Across our site, charts no longer are working and I'm receiving a browser console error as follows:
Uncaught TypeError: $.ready.then is not a function <anonymous> https://research.newamericaneconomy.org/wp-content/plugins/wpdatatables/assets/js/wpdatatables/wdt.chartsRender.min.js?ver=3.4.3:1
jQuery 2
wdt.chartsRender.min.js:1:53
In another ticket, I was advised to upload some new JS files to fix some callback functions. Does this have something to do with it? Do I need to do that again? If so, can you provide the appropriate files to replace?
Also, can you confirm whether or not I'll have to do this every time the plugin is updated?
I can't replicate this on your website. The charts are there:
And there are no errors in the console related to wpDataTables (see attachment).
I don't know if you made any changes in the past 17 hours or not, but I cannot see any issues. If you're still not seeing the charts, make sure to delete cache from your website, and your browser.
Thanks for the reply! I actually did do something since submitting the ticket. In the spirit of trying to fix it myself, I re-uploaded the files you shared with me in this ticket again. That seems to have fixed it!
I imagine when I updated the plugin to the latest version it defaulted back to the original files.
Will I have to replace those files every time the plugin is updated? Or are there plans to integrate those files into an upcoming release?
I'm glad to hear the issue has been resolved, but the fix I sent you (wdt.chartsRender.min.js.zip and wdt.chartsRender.js.zip) has been included in the latest version of the plugin. Maybe you only needed to delete cache.
The Pie Legend thing was not planned to be included, so I don't know if that's what you meant?
Hm. That's strange because it wasn't until I replaced those files again that the charts started working again. It could've been a caching issue, I suppose.
I'll keep an eye out for the next update and see if I experience the same issue.
And yes, I understand the Pie Legend thing wasn't included :)
