Hello, I am using a formal language on my site. I use a fallback language for plugins which do not have the formal language. This works pretty good but not with Amelia.
The fallback language is ignored and Amelia uses English in the frontend and in the backend.
thank you for reaching out to us; I apologize for the later response, as we don't work on weekends.
As we unfortunately don't have a direct integration with Preferred Languages plugin, I am unable to guarantee that any feature they offer will work on Amelia.
You can suggest integration with this plugin as a feature request here, or check if there is such request there and vote for it.
If you have any other questions or concerns feel free to open a new ticket and we will gladly help out.
Hello Ivana, no problem. In the meantime I tested several Plugins, which offer to define a fallback language. None is working with Amelia. So maybe it is no good idea to integrate with "Preferred Languages plugin" only.
thank you for the kind reply, and for testing them out.
In that case, I'd suggest that you can put into Feature Request the plugin that you find most suitable, or try checking if someone already suggested a formal language plugin there.
If they have, and you find that plugin suitable for yourself, as well, you can vote for their suggestion

Done, looking forward for implementation, btw, setting a default language for Amelia instead of using WordPress language would be OK, too. ;-)
Hi Bodo,
thank you a lot for taking time to make a suggestion
We'd like to adapt Amelia to as many users and business models as possible - improving languages is one of the best ways to do so for a start.
If you need anything else, please let me know - in the meantime I wish you an amazing day!
