With our latest update, 3.2. we have added MultiLanguage option, so that you can use the plugin in multiple languages at the same time.
For the standard translation, the default language of your Amelia will be the one that you have chosen in the WordPress settings.
The plugin can be translated using POEDIT or Loco Translate easily. I suggest installing Loco Translate, since it's within WordPress and it has a simple UI.
If you want to use POEDIT then please follow these instructions:
1. Download Amelia from our TMS Store and save the ameliabooking.zip file on your computer.
2. Unzip downloaded file.
3. Download and install POEDIT.
4. After that, open the program and open the file from the extracted folder on your computer ameliabooking/languages/en_US/wpamelia-en_US.po.
5. Translate all the strings on your language.
6. Save the file as the plugin suggests (the language code; for example wpamelia-id_ID.po if your language is Indonesian) and it will generate a new wpamelia-id_ID.mo file. You can find your language code here.
7. Go to ameliabooking/languages/ folder and create a new folder. Name it as the language code for your language (in our case, for Indonesian, it is id_ID) and then copy these two files called wpamelia-id_ID.po and wpamelia-id_ID.mo into it. Proceed with copying the whole folder id_ID back to your website in folder ../wp-content/plugins/ameliabooking/languages/.
Of course, you will use language code for your language (we use Indonesian language, and its language code "id_ID" is just an example).
Hi I have translated the content using the new field from the latest update but I don't see the translations on the frontend when i change the language on the site. Does it need different shortcode? Can you send me the documentation for this feature?
When you add a translation in the backend for this option, it will be shown in the frontend when WP language changes.
For example this service is by default named "Massage"; WP is currently in English US. When I choose to Translate the title of the Service, in Amelia > Services > this service > Translate, I can add a translation of this title in, let's say, Turkish (Masaj).
If your customer has their WP language set to Turkish, they will see Masaj as the service title on the frontend.
We are preparing documentation on this feature as it is fairly new, I apologize.

Hi, i took the liberty to check the frontend code for the translations, since i didn't have any kind of documentation to assist me this is merily speculations but i can affirm that the amelia version 3.2 DOES NOT show the translations correctly in the frontend for the CATALOG shortcode, the events shortcode is displayed correctly. I believe that the error is associated to the file “amelia-booking-catalog-1e03b37df0806dffcc45” presented in “ameliabooking\public\js\chunks”.
From what i could understand looking at the events file (“amelia-booking-events-1e03b37df0806dffcc45”) the name should be translated before the entity is constructed. See the screenshot below:

So when the render function is called the entity is already translated. This doesn’t seem to be happening to the catalog.
The functions to get the translations are there but are not being called(i think).
If i change the render function to call for the translations i can force it to show in the frontend. See the screenshot below:

Can you please let me know if your current language (the one set up in WordPress) is the same as the language you are doing the translations to? What is showing up when you try to access your website when logged out of your WP admin account, or in incognito mode, in the language you are translating the strings to - is any translation visible?
As you can see in the image below, the labels are translating correctly, but the content is not, even though I have inserted the translations in the settings.
The plugins seem to be having problems displaying the translations for service categories. I created events and translate them, the translation work properly. But if I do the same process with service categories, the labels appear translated, but the content doesn't.
I guess I have the same issue here. The service is translated from '3 players' to '3 spelers' etc. But the translation is not visible. Other (non dynamic translations) work.
Note: I do not use WPML but polylang
Edit: In notification emails, everything is translated as it should be.
Is there a way to translate your plugin with WPML? If not there is any way to have the form in different languages?
