    Hi,

I am using Amelia with memberpress, when we create an account manually or book an event the customer is not getting any login details to login to the frontend customer portal, the only way to access their account currently is to send forgot password link.

I have enabled send default email when creating an event booking but not receiving any in testing stage.

Also I can't see a way to manually create a registration page for customers.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks

    Fabi

    Ciao Fabi

We faced the same issue and from my understanding the Amelia email with the login link is used only in quite special circumstances (never hit them ourselves)

What we did is the following:

Customer sets an appointment which creates their Amelia customer profile, in turn it creates the WP user profile (Amelia Customer) and we have therefore customised the WP automatic email with the link

Also, bear in mind that if you're logged on WP while you test, it will not work. We had to logout from the system to really test the whole process correctly

    Hope it helps

    Hi Andy,

Thanks for your reply, Thats seems very strange to not have such a basic task in the plugin.

I have managed to send a customer portal link once they book an event but they don't have any login details to access the customer portal so have no way to login to their portal apart from sending a forgot password request.

Are you managing to get login details emailed to you for the customer portal?

Seems a big feature missing is the option to register on the front end for customers themselves.

    Thanks

    Fabi

    Hi Fabi,

thank you for reaching out to us.

First, you need to set up an Amelia Customer Panel on one of your site pages, and copy the URL of that page to Amelia > Settings > Roles > Customer > Customer Panel URL.

Here you can also enable the Customer Panel.

If your customers booked an appointment in Amelia before you configured the Customer Panel, they are saved in Amelia/Customers. So, they already exist in Amelia's database. That would allow them to visit the Customer Panel page, and click on "Reset Password" option.

They will enter their email address, and the "Customer Panel Access" email template will be sent to them. That will include a token which will automatically log them into the panel, where they can configure their password (by clicking on the "My Profile" section in top left). No need to book a new appointment.

Please go to Amelia > Notifications, and add the placeholder for customer panel access so that the customer will be able to receive this link.

I am facing the same issue aswell.

And when the login information is sent, it is sent to the spam folder.

Also, it is also very unfortunate that there is no option to register a customer withoutout having him to book an appointment. Is there any way to do that with another plugin? It is a very important feature and basic.
