My last ticket was that events were not working, but trying other options I have noticed that Amelia is not working for any Free Event or Service !!
PS: I tried to set the payment to 10 cents and set the payment on-site, but it never worked either, so maybe on-site payments is also damaged. Anything paid (via PayPal) works like a charm.
On FREE Services and ON-SITE payments it goes on a loop saying PLEASE WAIT forever !! This is very important !!
Something's wrong with the website's communication with PayPal - there are a lot of "Blocked by client" errors. Since the event is free, I'm not sure why this is happening.
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.
If you could also provide me FTP and database (phpMyAdmin or cPanel) access credentials, that'd be great.
You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.
I disabled PayPal and left ON-SITE payment as the only method of payment and it give me the same loop at the end ..
I can give you access to the site indeed, give some half an hour and I will come back to you, but please check on your end in the meantime, it does not work with all online payment disabled (PayPal, Woo Commerce or Stripe)
And also please can you tell me where you have seen the "Blocked by client" error on the site ? Since PayPal or any other payment is disabled, I cannot see any error like that anywhere ?
Basically online payment is disabled .. only ON-SITE is on and still goes on the eternal loop if it is a FREE event or PAID also ..
It seems it does not work if it does not have to collect the payment ??
The problem happens when you enable the Invisible Google Recaptcha from the General Options in Amelia, if you use the normal one ticking "I am not a robot" .. it will work perfectly OK.
The site is working properly, however please take that into account for the next release ..
Sorry for the late response, we have an increased number of tickets coming in.
I'm glad you were able to isolate the issue, and that it's currently working on your website. If reCAPTCHA is causing the issue, 90% of the time - it's the wrong credentials added for reCAPTCHA. We have it enabled on our dev and staging websites, and it works fine with our credentials, so could you check them again?
Credentials are fine, at least as I could test it isolated from amelia, I will try to go deeper on the problem in the next days and let you know .. the reCAPTCHA system is very sensitive to many parameters, especially to caching the pages and using CDN (as we are) .. at least now it is working perfectly with the "visible one" so I don't mind ..
You can close this ticket and the other one (related to the same) if you want ..
There is a new ticket from me about the ICS that you send on the notifications, that is different from the one that you issue upon booking and does not contain the LOCATION field of the event, this days having the LOCATION field is very important in case of the Zoom meetings, so people can get the Zoom link on the ICS and added to the calendars from the notification mails .. now they can only add the date and time, but not the place (Zoom link)
I'm glad that you're fine using visible reCAPTCHA, thanks!
As for the location in an ICS file, like Liza told you - that's not possible to change at the moment. I reached out to one of our developers, to see if he can make a change to include a location as well, and I'll get back to you as soon as he responds.
This will require changing the code, so I can't guarantee anything.
Replace the file "IcsApplicationService.php" in ../wp-content/plugins/ameliabooking/src/Application/Services/Booking/ folder with the file in the attachment, and the location will be included in the ICS file.
This simple change will allow people to include any Zoom event on their calendars from the Booking Confirmation Email, they could do it at the time of booking, but most of the people will disregard that option.
Thank you again for your awesome support, Have a great day and my best regards,
I'm glad to hear the modified file worked for you, you're most welcome.
I forwarded your suggestion about the terminology in "Capacity" vs "Booked" to our management, so hopefully it will be changed.
As for the PO file - when using POEdit, the .mo file is automatically generated when you save the .po file, so that additional step is not actually needed, but I'll check with them if it's possible to add it.
