SMS notifications suddenly stop working. I can't access the SMS settings tab. It only shows the spinner image and never loads its content. I have another site where SMS works without problems.
I tried deactivating and reactivating Amelia plugin but the problem persists. Is there a solution for this?
thank you for reaching out to us; I am sorry to hear that this happened!
I apologize for the later reply, as we don't work on weekends.
Please let me know if your Amelia is the latest version (3.1.2), and WordPress 5.7.
Also, has there been any change made such as changes in your number, user profile for SMS, or your provider? Or perhaps, there is a new plugin installed on your WordPress that could have caused the conflict.
If none of these occurred, please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.
You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.
I just updated the plugin to the latest version (Version 3.2) and the SMS notification started working again. I'm not sure what caused the problem, but I'm happy to see that it's okay now. I will write to you again in case I notice any hiccups.
I'm running 3.2 and it's still broken. API request on the SMS Notification tab in wp-admin returns 200 code and success message, but no data (see screenshot). Also console shows a script error (because data is null in returned JSON).
We have changed the server for SMS, and now SMS is using different server IP address. Most probably the server IP address is blocked on your hosting provider. Can you ask your hosting provider to execute ping and see if there is any response? The new IP addresss of the server is 116.203.87.139.
They need to execute:
ping smsapi.wpamelia.com
