    im trying to figure out how to import data using wpdatatables.  I want to import data from excel or a csv file so I don't have to manually enter the data

    Hi Michael

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    You can create tables by importing the data from your Excel or CSV fine quite easily using our plugin.

    You can find detailed instructions in our documentation following this link.

    Please note that any styling or customization of the source file is not recommended as it can cause issues in creating the table, but you can do any customization in the table editor itself. Please find an example of a properly styled sheet in the attachment.

    Do let us know if you need any further assistance.

    Thank you. That did the trick

    Hello, very good day and cordial greetings

    Something similar happens to me. I hope it is something simple.

    I have a google spreadsheet with 2 rows and only 3 columns
    Row 1: descriptive names; A1, B1 and C1.
    Row 2: values; A2, B2, C2

    A1 = Red, A2 = 10.
    B1 = Green, B2 = 20.
    C1 = Blue, C2 = 30.

    Now (I use Elementor) in wordpress I have three fields (they can be shortcode, Title, Text or counter)

    Field # 1 is Red, field # 2 is green and field # 3 is blue, I would like to know if it is possible (and how to do it if possible) if the value of each field I can put the value A2 , B2 and C2 from my google sheet.

    I already have the plugin connected with the Google Drive and Gogle Sheet JSON API

    I apologize for writing my concern here, I honestly do not know where to start looking and this is the closest thing I have been able to discover

    Hi Jorge

    Could you please explain to us in more detail what would you like to achieve? Unfortunately we didn't quite catch that, if you could provide more examples or a screen recording that would help us understand better.

    Thank you

    Of course miss, I'll try.

    However I must point out that my computer does not have a microphone, I hope to make myself understood with the movements of my mouse and the texts that I point to.

    My purpose is to be able to put on my web page (made with the elementor visual constructor), a specific cell from google sheets in a certain and specified location within my page, (with any widget that allows it) clearly using the wpDataTables plugin , if it is possible with your plugin.

    For the example, in the first column (of the page with elementor) I have placed a counter widget (it could be any one, - a text, a header or a shortcode - however this widget allows me a visual effect on the that the number is increasing attractively)

    I have called this first column RED and my intention is that it reflects (with wpDataTable) the numerical value or figure that is in a specific cell of the google sheet, in this case it is the one that corresponds to the google sheet column A row 2 = 10.

    If cell D2 had been assigned to that widget in that location it would be blank, and if cell C2 had been assigned it would occupy the value of it which is 30.

    Later I will replace within the google sheet, the value that each cell has, so that then instead of having the value 10 in cell A2, it could have the value 38, to mention any number at random, the idea is that that number that I edit and modify within the google sheet, when changing it in google automatically takes effect on the web page and is also altered and modified at the same time (or a couple of minutes or seconds later)

    I hope I have made myself understood, because the truth is I have no idea what search criteria to use to see if there is already a video of you in which you explain this.

    As the video weighs more than 15 MB, which is what you allow in the comments box, I will pass you a direct link from my google, this link expires on May 28, 2021.

    Not? nothing, without any pronouncement.

    As I regret the good comment and the 5 stars that qualify them for their service, it was nothing more than a mirage.

    Hi Jorge

    My apologies for the late response, I have forwarded this to our developers to take a look, however we have been receiving an unusually high number of tickets so they have not been able to find a solution for you yet.

    I have marked this as high priority and I will update you as soon as hear back from them.

    Thank you for your time and patience.

    Hi Jorge

    Thank you for your patience.

    If we understand correctly you want to place a cell from Google Spreadsheet on your page, in an Elementor widget, using wpDataTables.

    To do this, you need to create a table linked to an existing source - Google Spreadsheet (using the old method, or the API method). Those tables are linked to the spreadsheet, so if you change data in the sheet, it will be visible in the table.

    So, if the spreadsheet consists of only one cell, that is not going to be possible. The sheet needs a header for each column, and at least one row for the table to generate. The plugin is pulling data from the Google Spreadsheet, so what you see in the sheet is what you'll have in the plugin.

    When you are posting on ticket that are not yours or have questions or issues which are not related to the title of the active ticket can you please open a new one, and we will help you there. In that way, issues and questions which are related to different subjects will be in different tickets so other customers or our support agents can find it easily. Our policy is to have one issue or question per ticket because of the reasons that is described already.

    Thank you for understanding.
