If the issue is resolved (it should be), then start activating other plugins one by one, and after each activation refresh the page to see if the issue reoccurred. Once it does reoccur, you will have found the plugin causing the issue.
Basically, we had cases when Amelia was conflicting with the WP Rocket plugin, so I would suspect it first.
No, Custom Fields should be there for Events as well (as it was before).
Could you please provide us temporary WP Admin access, so we will look into the issue from the inside? You can post the credentials as a reply to this ticket, just make sure you use private mode.
We don't interfere with any data except for the plugin and, of course, we don't provide login details to a third party.
