customer login not generating password

I'm testing the reservation system.  When I make a reservation, I'm not prompted to create a login and password.  when I come back as an existing customer and click "forgot password" I receive an email with a link to reset my password but it isn't actually a link.  I need to see how customers can login and view their existing appointments, profile, etc.

    Thanks.

Also this is how the customer role settings are configured.

    Hi Rachel,

thank you for the kind inquiry!

The settings for the customer are all right; please just check below if you have created the Customer Panel URL.

Then go to Amelia > Notifications and see if the link will appear in Appointment Approved and Customer Panel Access templates.

Where do I check to see if I've created a Customer Panel URL?  Your email says "please just check below if you have created the Customer Panel URL." but I'm not seeing where that would be?

    Hi Rachel,

You can go to Amelia > Settings > Roles > Customer, and scroll all the way down to the field Customer Panel Page URL.

This is where URL of the page where you have set up your customer panel should be.

If it's empty, check on WordPress > Pages, on which page your Customer Panel Block is set up.

Great Thanks!  I added the URL to the email and the customer panel was already enabled.  The issue is that the system is not requiring customers to create a password when they create a reservation.  When I click on the forgot password option on the customer panel, I get the attached email, however there isn't anywhere to enter a new password or create a password so that I can login to a customer profile and view and manage my upcoming reservations etc.

    Please advise.

    Thanks!

    Hi Rachel,

thank you for the kind reply!

I apologize for the later response, as we don't work on weekends.

    Have you clicked the link?

It will provide you a window to reset password within the website - also, please make sure that you are logged out of your Admin for WordPress account (if you try doing this while logged in it will not offer you to reset password and in some cases may keep logging you into the customer profile without prompting for password change).

    Hello:

We've tested it with several users, not just me.  It does not create a customer account when you make a reservation (book a service).  Then when you go to the customer panel and click forgot password, the email takes you back to that same panel where you can login or click forgot password.  It's and endless loop and there is no where to create an account or setup a password.  This is keeping the site from launching so please help us!!

    Hi Rachel,

thank you for the additional information.

Please provide me a temporary WP-admin login for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue. We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course we do not provide login data to third party.

You can write credentials here just check Private Reply so nobody can see them except us.

    Hi Rachel,

    thank you!

I had gone to your backend - I have added a customer panel link to the Appointment Approved email notification, you did not have it.

Also, I see in Amelia > Settings > Roles > Customer, your Customer Panel URL is empty. Which page is customer panel set on? You need to copy that URL and place it here.

    Please let me know.

I tested the customer panel again today.  It still won't allow customers to reset their password

    Hi Rachel,

thank you for the kind reply; I apologize for the later response as we don't work on weekends.

It seems that you have a full URL as hyperlink in "Customer Panel Access" email template.

Also setting [ameliabooking] and [ameliacustomerpanel] shortcodes on the same page - it can work, but it's not recommended.

The reset password now automatically logs the customer into the panel (as it should be doing), so that the customer can go to their email address/My Profile, and change the password in there.
