Am I able to use Amelia with Variable Products in WooCommerce? I sell class packages with 10, 25, 50, and 100 classes (at different prices). Would I set these package prices in WooCommerce, or Amelia?
Ok, Aleksander. Thank you. I have setup the Packages that you were discussing. They are fantastic!
However, I am setting up an English teaching website. I sell packages of English classes. How would I accept payments in multiple currencies? For example, I am now setting the price packages in Amelia for 10 classes, 25 classes, or 50 classes. But I can only write one currency in the packages (it is set to USD). However, my clients will be from China, Japan, Europe, all over the world. How can I show customers multiple currencies based on their location? How can I utilize the multiple currency functionality of WooCommerce with the Amelia packages?
Thanks a lot for your support! I'm sure it must be possible using the settings and clever use of products etc. Please have a think and let me know how I can do it.
You can't set that up in Amelia - one currency per website, I'm afraid.
The multi-currency of WooCommerce would still work, because if one class costs $10 - I suppose the price would be the same for everyone, regardless of the country they are from, right?
If that's true, they'd purchase a package in Amelia, and when they get to WooCommerce's cart, the multi-currency in WooCommerce would change the price from $10.00 to 1000.75RSD (Serbian Dinar), for example. It does work in WooCommerce, but in Amelia it's always showing the currency you set up in Amelia's Settings.
It's slightly more confusing than that because I sell class packs with 10, 25, 50, and 100 classes. It's cheaper if you have lots of classes. So I apply the discounts with Amelia Packages. But then I do not know what WooCommerce Product to link these Packages to. Do all four Amelia Packages link to one WooCommerce Product? Do I have a separate products for each Package (such as one product for 10 classes, one for 25 classes, etc.)?
Please help me to understand how to link these Packages to WooCommerce correctly.
For example, my Product page in the WooCommerce shop has the "Add to Cart" button underneath the Amelia Booking form. But that needs to be removed to ensure that users go through the Amelia booking process. How can I ensure that the WooCommerce Add to Cart button disappears? https://study-pad.com/shop/english-classes/children/
If I set the price to $0 in WooCommerce, the product also disappears since it appears as "out of stock". But then if I add a price to the product in WooCommerce, the product appears, but then you have the "Add to Cart" option below the booking form. It's not clear how to set this up correctly.
When I had the Regular Price set to 0, the Add to Cart button was still appearing. But now I have removed the 0, and now the Add to Cart button has gone! Strange.
EDIT: False alarm. When you proceed to the WooCommerce checkout after making the booking in Amelia, it says "Sorry, this product cannot be purchased".
When you enable WooCommerce as a payment method in Amelia, the plugin creates an "Appointment" product in WooCommerce, which can be used for all bookings (all services, events, and packages). You can change the associated product in Service's settings, but you don't need to.
It's best to place Amelia's shortcodes outside WooCommerce's shop page. The "Appointment" product is not listed on your list of products in WooCommerce, so no one can purchase it by mistake through WooCommerce instead of Amelia. If you link your services to other WooCommerce products, they will be visible in your shop, and customers would be able to navigate to them outside of Amelia, so my suggestion in this case would be to leave the default "Appointment" product linked to your services.
Hello,

Hello Peter
You can create Packages in Amelia, and when using WooCommerce as a payment option, the details for each appointment will be forwarded to WooCommerce.
The integration is only set for payments, so you can't use packages from WooCommerce in Amelia, only vice-versa.
