I wanted to prevent the notification email saying :
"Dear %customer_full_name%, You have successfully scheduled %service_name% appointment with %employee_full_name%. We are waiting you at %location_address% on %appointment_date_time%. Thank you for choosing our company,%company_name%"
from being sent, so I unticked the box "appointment approved" in email notification, but clients still get that email after purchasing one of my services.

This is Appointment Approved notification; on your website I see only events.
Are you using Amelia Service Booking or only Event Booking?
If it's only events, what you need to check off is Event Booked notification.
