We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
If we create a custom field on an event registration form, for example - Medical Conditions, is this stored in the WordPress user profile if we have 'Automatically create Amelia Customer user' set
Basically, we want to store the answers to a few questions, but not have to ask them again of the same customer
My understanding from your documentation is that it is not and it is simply stored against the appointment/event booking.
Do you have any suggestions as to how we could record certain info on initial sign-up and only ask again if it's missing?
Hi Alex,
thank you for reaching out to us.
Info provided by the customer in the custom fields, will be stored only in Amelia - in Appointment details.
You could only, unfortunately keep certain data if you paste it in Customer Notes in Amelia > Customers > Edit > Details, or if you keep a personal database outside of Amelia with customer documentation (in case they provided a physical document). Or optionally you can search trough Appointments by a customer name or email, and you will be able to see this info in their past appointments.
Also, by attaching the custom field placeholders into email notifications that are going to an employee, they will receive this info in their work email as well.
You can suggest additional "database" for this customer additional info, that is provided via custom fields, as a feature request here, or check if there is such request there and vote for it.
If you have any other questions or concerns feel free to open a new ticket and we will gladly help out.
Hi,
is there a way to ensure custom fields are shown on newly added events automatically?
Cheers,
Alex
Hi Alex,
thank you for contacting back.
Unfortunately, at the moment you would need to go back to the custom field to add the new event that you created (any event created after creating that custom field).
