We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
Hi there!
With special demands coming up during the current pandemic situation retail shops are here (Germany) forced to maintain customer records which need to be passed on to the authorities upon request if one customer ends up CoVid positive.
On the other hand, people in general are super sensitive of privacy issues.
In the current situation they pass on their data, but they expect it to be deleted asap!
Hence, a feature to auto delete the data after a certain period after the appointment would be very helpful, in order to avoid efforts for (and errors of) manual deletions!
E.g. in settings, I would issue 18 days as a "keep records period" (14 days as per request, plus some buffer) and could focus on my business, rather than on manually maintaining privacy requests.
The period need to be set manually, as requirements change constantly.
It would be even amazing, to have a customising at which criteria the auto delete would happen.
E.g. choose from either "after appointment" or "after inactivity", the latter allowing to auto clean up the database of clients in businesses with regular visitors, which allow to keep the data, but no longer return for service, say after a year, 6 months, 8 weeks, or whatever fits the business.
Hello Reinhard,
thank you for taking interest in Amelia, and for contacting us.
I am sorry to disappoint you, but unfortunately something like this is not possible with the plugin's built-in features.
Our developers will be working on adding a feature like this, but at the moment it is not possible.
Data deletion needs to be done manually from the back end for now, in order to prevent some data that the owner still needs from being accidentally deleted in this "group deletion".
If you have time, Reinhard, you can suggest it here; users will be able to vote for it and it can be considered in the future. We have a lot of feature requests, the most requested features are in the top of the list and we really try to implement as many new features in each update.
