I'd like to use the wpData Tables suite to power our employee directory because of its search/sort flexibility and ability to pull data from Google Sheets. Do you have any clients using the plugins in this way that I could show my designer? Here's the sort of thing we are going for (does not need to be a grid - could just be a list...)
You can create a table linked to your Google Spreadsheet with a list of your employees and use the search and filtering options in our plugin, yes. Please note that images from the Google Spreadsheet need to be added as URL links and then in the column settings you need to set the type of that column to Image to display it in the table.
If you wish to display more details in a pop up like on the attachment you can use our paid Master Detail addon and showcase the additional information that will be hidden from the front end and displayed only in the pop up.
We don't have an exact example for your scenario but you can have a look at our showcase page where you can see various designs both ours and from our clients.
Also, you can try our sandbox site: Front-end & Back-end - you can find a fully functional version there to try out all plugin premium features.
