Since I have so many issues with this plugin. I create a subdomain to troubleshoot. However I did an upgrade to the plugin in that subdomain and now I can update my main domain.

What issues are you having with the plugin (other than the update)?
If you entered your purchase code in Amelia settings/Activation, and update should be offered in your Plugins section (on some installations, you first need to deactivate the plugin in order to see this), or in Dashboard/Updates. Please try updating the plugin that way - directly through WordPress.
If that doesn't work, please follow our manual update procedure from our documentation; just make sure that "Delete Database Tables" option is disabled in Amelia Settings/Activation, before following that procedure, so you don't lose your data.
