Unfortunately, at the moment there's no option to set recurring payments aka subscriptions in Amelia. One of the reasons is that Amelia doesn't store any payment details (what makes it so GDPR-friendly, on the other hand).
We are always looking for ideas on how to make Amelia better. So if you have a couple of minutes, please suggest this feature on our website.
Probably, it can be achieved with some third-party plugin or service, as you mentioned, but we didn't test it, that's why we can't be sure if it will work flawlessly.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
I am also somewhat surprised that recurring appointments must be systematically paid upfront. It seems that this is what packages are for, already, with the nuance that the amount of hours is defined by the employee, not the customer.
Although it is understandable that selling packages of hours upfront can be a good business practice, it is also widely recognized that in most cases recurring revenue is now considered the most desirable form of payment.
You integrations for payments are with Stripe and Paypal that both support secure recurring payment without needing to store credit card information, thus remaining GDPR friendly.
Properly recurring payments (subscriptions for a service) would add huge value to Amelia as far as I am concerned.
Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate the ideas you've shared.
At the moment I can tell only one thing precisely: our developers took it into consideration and, hopefully, they will find a way to implement subscription payments in the near future.
If you have any other comments regarding Amelia's functionality, please feel free to leave a feature request on our website.
Is there any way we can incentivise you to implement this feature faster? What would make it worth your time to fast-track a subscription feature, where people get billed on a recurring basis for recurring appointments, rather than billed upfront?
I sent your request to our Project Manager, it's the only thing I could do in this case.
Unfortunately, our developer team confirmed that the subscription feature won't be implemented in the next update. We fall behind our update schedule due to the current situation in the world (I think it affected pretty much every business). Therefore, first, we will implement some features that have been pending for a long, such as deposit payments, more options for customization, etc. And after that, it will be the turn of the subscription feature.
If you have any other questions, please let us know.
Hi, in your package (multiple services) is it possible to set up a recurring payment ? So via a subscription the package willl auto-renew ?
I did not see this option. If not, is it possible to achieve this in some way using woocommerce and woocommerce subscription ?
Hi, Yves!
I apologize for the delayed response.

Thank you Liza,
I see that the subscription feature is the most upvoted of all features on the requests list:
https://wpamelia.cnflx.io/boards/feature-requests/3180
However it is not Planned in the roadmap, and it seems that nothing is currently in progress:
