Hi, my client had alredy bought your plugin and I´m trying to set the My Account page, I´m using woocommerce and I would like to have the Amelia Customer Panel inside the WooCommerce My Account page, so I pasted the Amelia shortcut in this page, with the password access option enabled in settings, but I´m already logged in and Amelia doesn´t detect my user.
Amelia's Customer (and Employee) Panel log-in is different from any other log-in you have on your site (WordPress log-in, WooCommerce log-in, Memberpress log-in, or any other log-in you can create). At the moment, there is no way to link the two, so your customers have the same password for WooCommerce and Amelia. It is something frequently requested by our customers, and I do hope our developers will add that to the plugin soon, but I don't believe it's going to be any time soon.
I'll forward this to them again, but I'll kindly ask you to add it as a feature suggestion on this page. Features are pushed up on our "to-do" list when there are a lot of customers requesting those features, so having your vote as a customer can be beneficial to this feature being developed sooner.
Hi, Aleksandar, I have a few more questions for you:
• Package Appointments Recurrency: is there any solution to let the client book the classes that they bought on a package in a recurrent way? For instance, they bought a 12 clasess package and they want to book all of them every monday at 9.
• Class Cancelation: when a client cancels one class that belongs to a package it doesn´t add up again to that package and that class is lost for him or her, can you tell me if there is a solution to make this not happen?
• Package related to a person aside from the buyer: in our business in many cases the parents buy the package classes for their children, so we need a way to relate the package with the name of his child and make that name visible in every booking that is made within that package.
1. I am sorry to disappoint you, but unfortunately something like this is not possible with the plugin's built-in features. Your customers would have to manually choose every Monday during the booking process of the package.
2. If the appointment is cancelled, it is still saved and listed in the Appointments section. So, you could (as an admin) delete that cancelled appointment, and after that, the customer should be able to book another one. Also, if they only want to change the date, they can reschedule the appointment, not cancel it. Our developers are aware of this, and it will be fixed in one of our future updates.
3. You can disable "Check customer's name for existing email when booking" in Amelia Settings/Roles/Customer, so one email address can be used for multiple names. That way, a parent can book the appointment using their email address, and the name of their child(ren).
Hi Aleksandar, thank you very much again for your answer!
Regarding to question 3, I tried what you said, but It doesn´t ask me for a name when I´m booking classes that belong to a package in the user´s front end, It just let me book the class and that´s all. Am I doing something wrong? My client needs this to be personalized so he can know who is really going to take that class.
And the last one, for every booking made from a package Amelia sends an email, so if I have a 24 classes package and I need to book all of them I will receive 24 emails one after the other, is there something to improve this?
The package is already booked, and you wish to change the name in an appointment afterwards? That can't be done unfortunately. You can only add a custom field to the service, so people can add who actually is attending the appointment.
As for the second question, each appointment sends a new notification by default, and at the moment there's no way to selectively choose which ones will be disregarded.
Hi Aleksandar! Me again! We have finished a meeting with our client a few minutes ago and we have reached to a crucial point regarding this topic that we have been talking about, we realized that is not possible for a user to book two appointments at the same time, and that is critical because a parent won´t be able to book the same class at the same time for two or more of his children.
If we can´t do this the whole Amelia plugin won´t be useful and we have to think on another solution.
Do you know if there is anyway to solve this problem within Amelia?
It is not possible for customers to book two appointments at the same time unless your customers are purchasing a package.
If they purchase a package, they purchase it using one Name and Last Name, so that cannot be changed for other appointments that are included in the package. The only thing you can do is add a custom field at the end of the form, where a parent would enter the name of the child.
Unfortunately, what you're looking for to achieve with Amelia can't be done with the plugin's built-in features.
Ok Aleksandar, thank you again! The last one, you said that it is not possible to book two appointments at the same time unless your customers are purchasing a package, that´s our case, our clients will mostly buy packages, so how can that be done?
Well, when you're creating a package, you choose which services will be included and how many appointments can be booked per service. So, when they purchase a package, they get to choose multiple dates and times for included services.
Please take a look at our documentation about Packages for more info on how they work.
