Since WP update to 5.6.2, when csv's are uploaded for a table, the date fields are not being read at all. This has never been an issue before. Also - the column settings won't open. SQL tables work fine.
1. The date format in the CSV file is incorrect, you will have to use the format you choose in the wpDataTables settings for it to be displayed properly.
2. Issues like this usually occur when there is a conflict either with the theme currently active on your website, or another plugin you have installed.
Can you please change the theme and see if the issue is resolved? If not, then please deactivate all other plugins except for our plugin, refresh the page where the issue is, and see if it is resolved (it should be). If it is, then start activating other plugins one by one, and after each activation refresh the page to see if the issue reoccurred. Once it does reoccur, you will have found the plugin causing the issue.
This same file (as I sent to you) worked up until 3-4 weeks ago, around the time of the WP 5.6.2 update. No plugins were added or deleted before or after that. At the moment I am unable to access the column configuration settings... when I click on the gear the browser window gets a grey overlay but nothing pops up (see attached). I will attempt to see if there is a plug-in conflict and get back to you shortly.
I just want to show you that ANOTHER table we have on the site (see jpg) works fine with the exact same date format (see csv). This is one that I have NOT attempted to update. This only happens to table that I attempt to update with new csv files.
1. Please check if the column is saved as string for the column where the date appears correctly. We don't have this date format so if the column is set to date it will not be able to display it like this.
2. Do let us know if there was a conflict involved.
It IS set as a string and always has been. Again we've been using these tables formatted as is for 2 years or more without a problem. And again, no plugin or theme conflicts apparent.
String-type columns pull in all the data, regardless of the format. Since the CSV file you sent us is not showing up in wpDataTables, it could only be linked to the column type. If you were to check the type of the date column, you'd most likely see its type is set to "Date". If you were to change it to "String", the data would come up.
If you're still having issues with it, and there's a possibility there's a bug in the plugin (although we can't replicate the issue when using your file in a string-type column), we'll need you to provide us with a temporary wp-admin user (administrator) for your website, so we can remote in, and take a look at the tables. Please make sure to tell us what are the ID's of the affected tables, so we know where to look.
as I’ve mentioned several times, these exact tables worked perfectly until just recently. The files I’ve provided were production files that were used on the site. Also as mentioned, I am unable to access the column settings at all.
I will send credentials to access the site privately within the hour.
From what we can see something is hiding the modal which is actually there
We created one SQL table showcasing that the table 18 has the column type Date instead of string which is causing the data to disappear.
Also the order of the tables and such a big space between settings in not normal behavior.

Hi Mark
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Could you kindly send us those CSV files so we can try and recreate the issue on our end?
Also - the column settings function does not work. I get a light grey overlay and nothing pops up.

Turned off all other plugins and it still didn't work - I can give you access to the site if you'd like to have a look around.

Thank you. It appears that the culprit was the html5 video player ( https://bplugins.com/html5-video-player-pro/ ). It is all working now.
You are most welcome, I'm glad to hear the issue is resolved
If there is anything else we can assist you with please don't hesitate to open a new ticket we are always happy to help.
Have a wonderful day!
