Can't Import Excel Sheets

    Hi,

I was trying to import excel sheets using your wpDataTables software. I was thinking it would be able to embed an excel document into a WordPress page. However, it looks like your software might be more suited for clean tables. My excel documents use various formulas such as:

    Sumifs

    Vlookups

    Index

    Mid

    Left

    Right

    Conditional Formatting

Can your software handle those formuals?

Also can it be used to import entire spreadsheets where everything isn't formatted into neat rows? I have been using excel to create templates that are similar to pdfs. To add clarity I've attached screenshots of some of the files.

Ultimately, the goal is to get these files into WordPress where they can be modified by end users individually and not impact other end users. It sounds like your software can handle that, but might need things in a cleaner table style format. Is there anything I can do to get a file like the "Retirement Planning Checklist" into WordPress using your software? A call would be a preferred form of communication. I can be reached at 248-396-1955.

    Thanks,

    Graham

    Hi Graham

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Our Formula Columns accept only basic mathematical operations, and you can't use complicated formulas in there. The formulas in wpDataTables are not the same as in Excel, so you may be able to achieve what you need with nested formulas (for example if Formula1 column is A*B/12; and you need to divide Formula1 column in another Formula2 column, you'd need to include the formula again, so Formula2 would be (A*B/12)/4).

If I understood you correctly, you want to import the Excel file you sent us? If that's true, that can't be done. wpDataTables can only read the data it sees in the file, but it can't carry over any formatting or formulas. You'd need to create a new manual table in wpDataTables in order to create a table similar to this one.

Unfortunately we do not have a direct line so we will do our best to help you via email.

    Hi Blazenka,

Thank you for the quick response. The functionality of your software is not advanced enough for what I need. I paid for the basic membership. It was approximately $62 after taxes. I was told there is a 14 day refund policy. Since that will not fulfill my needs, can you issue a refund?

Thanks in advance for the help.

    Kind Regards,

    Graham

    Hi Graham

    Not a problem, I understand.

Please log into http://store.tms-plugins.com/ with the credentials you received in your e-mail when you purchased the plugin, then navigate to Purchases/wpDataTables, and if you're still within 15 days from purchase you will see the "Request Refund" button.

If you don't see it, and you're using a screen with width lower than 1600px, you will need to scroll through that screen horizontally to see the button.

After you submit a refund request, you will not receive any confirmation emails, but you will see that the button is grayed out:

That means that the refund request is successfully submitted, and that you will receive your refund in 5 - 7 business days.
