Customers are debited when they book an appointment in Amelia - in the booking process they need to pay if you enable one of the online payment methods (PayPal, Stripe) and that is the same for both Approved and Pending appointments. There isn't a possibility of managing payments with the change of the status of the appointment in Amelia - so a pending appointment is paid also in the booking process, the same as the approved one.
Please note, if the appointment is canceled in Amelia, there isn't a possibility for a refund to be processed automatically. The refund needs to be processed in the payment methods manually.
