    Hi.

I have found out by ACCIDENT today that all notifications from Amelia have been failing for the past week!!!!!!

And I wonder: Why does not Amelia send an email to the wordpress admin to inform them that emails are failing to leave because of a configuration error?????

Notifications not sent to customers is nothing less of a catastrophe. Not worth informing the admin ??????

    Hi Marc,

There isn't such possibility in Amelia , unfortunately. You can suggest it as a feature request here, so it can be considered if possible at all. There are the Test email options on the Amelia -> Notifications page with which you can test if the email setup works well on your website and if the notifications are sent.

If you want maybe you can add some additional email address to which all notifications from Amelia will be sent as well, you can do that by adding these email addresses to the Send all notifications to additional addresses:  field which you will find in Amelia -> Settings -> Notification settings. When you add one email press Enter and it will be saved, so you can then add another one, etc. To these email addresses all notifications that are sent from Amelia (to customers and to employees) will be sent as well. If you want to check if email are sent to customers/employees from Amelia.

Marija, dear, we are in 2021. Those manual solutions of the 1980's such as "send yourself hundreds of email copies and manually check and notice if there is an interruption"....... those are a shame to suggest.

Why does not Amelia send an email to the wordpress admin to inform them that emails are failing to leave because of a configuration error????? Does Amelia know when an email failed to leave? YES certainly. Can Amelia be easily configured to send such an alert when triggered by this event? YES Certainly and this is VERY easy to implement.

Wordpress by default informs the admin of every user changing this password.... Amelia notifications not sent to customers is nothing less of a catastrophe. There MUST be an ALERT email to the wordpress admin and employees entitled "ATTENTION URGENT action required" and saying "there is a serious problem and clients are not notified because emails are failing to leave!!!"

This is not a mere suggestion. This is a MUST have.

AND Whenever Amelia for any reason fails to send notifications to users, employees or admin, via a protocol such as SMTP, it must fall back to another protocol such as mail php.

    Hi Marc,

Apologies for replying a bit later, we don't work on weekends.

These are not options with Amelia's current built-in features, unfortunately. Thank you for your suggestions, I will add them to our requests/suggestions list so they can be considered as possible options in the future versions of Amelia.

If you have any other questions or concerns feel free to open a new ticket and we will gladly help out.

    Hi

Do we have more information on when this feature would be implemented?

    Hi Marc,

This feature isn't planned for now, so we can't say if and when it could be implemented, unfortunately.
