I watched most of your videos and believe wpDataTables Pro will do what I want but would like to ask. I tried a few other plugins but have not been able to accomplish the result I want.

Short version of what I hope to do.

Table size is for discussion only.

50 rows, 12 columns, first 4 columns displayed to visitors,

columns 1 & 2 are pre- populated by me and non editable, 3 & 4 blank by default.

Visiter clicks on a row to select that session time, a popup form with fields for all 12 columns opens with Session and Time fields populated from row in table.

Visitor enters data in appropriate fields in popup form.

When they Submit the form columns 3 & 4 shows data enter by visitor, remaining cells are hidden for privacy and I want to display all rows.

Edited Row is locked so next visitor knows that Session Time is no longer available.

In one of your videos a popup form opened for data entry, that’s what I am looking for.

The link I enter into your submission form will take you to a table I was working on, it works but is not what I want.

I have asked for a great deal of your time without spending a dime but I will really appreciate you opinion and whatever advice you offer.

    Thanks

    Ray

    Hi Ray

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Most of your needs can be met with our plugin. You can create a table with your predefined values and block editing for certain columns

Then you can hide the rest you don't need

then leave only the Edit button to be displayed on the table

It is not possible to lock the editing after a user has entered some data, any user would be able to edit any row, You can create another column called Confirm appointment that would be mandatory to fill in

and if you know how to use CSS you can use the conditional formatting tab to add a rule that if lets say Confirm appointment has the value Yes the entire row would be hidden so it would not appear in the table.

Then add the CSS clas to the Custom CSS tab in the table settings

Also, you can try our sandbox site: Front-end & Back-end - you can find a fully functional version there to try out all plugin premium features.

You can try wpDataTables add-ons before purchase on these sandbox sites:

    Powerful Filters |

Gravity Forms Integration for wpDataTables |

    Formidable Forms Integration for wpDataTables

All useful information about all wpdatatables features that are explained (video and text) you can find in our DOCUMENTATION.
