Styling issues rendering Amelia unusable

    Hi there, hope you're well.

I'm trying to configure Amelia but am having a lot of issues. I'm running a Mikado theme, and the issue I'm running into is that the style of the plugin seems to be completely overwritten. Please refer to the screenshots and link to see.

Interestingly, this doesn't happen when I use the plugin from the Wordpress plugin marketplace. I'm also experiencing a 500 error throwing a fade argument exception (as you can see in the XHR error screenshot) when trying to add any customisation. What I want is the view I can see in the customise screen on the homepage and in this booking section.

Please can you advise on how to fix this. I'm also a developer so don't worry about holding back on technical details!

    Thank you and Happy Monday,

    James

    Hi James,

Apologies for replying a bit later, we had some non-working days due to a holiday in our country.

For some reason it looks like the Amelia CSS is not created in the installation process or something is blocking it . Could you please go to Amelia -> Customize page and click on Reset then Save there and check if the issue will be gone then? Let me know if this helped!

If this doesn't fix the issue, please deactivate any caching/optimizing plugin (SG Optimizer ) if you have and check if the issue with Amelia is gone. If you have SG Optimizer you will need to exclude Amelia or pages where Amelia is from that plugin's optimization (in that plugin's settings).

    Hi Marija,

So this has fixed some of the problem, which is great and thank you, but I now have another problem :).

The issue is that while in the customiser, I can see the Vue component is loaded in the 'customise' tab with  two columns: one form on the left and date selection on the right.

Why is it that on my site itself, it is only showing the date picker, then flips to the appointment info? I do not want this view, and would like it to be in settings asa this is what I have seen on the site.

If you could advise on what needs to be done here to achieve the same look as in the settings, that would be very helpful!

    Many thanks,

    James

    Hello James

When you have only one employee, and only one service, the booking form will only show the calendar.

If you add another employee, or new service (or both), you will see the same form you see in Amelia/Customize.

    Kind Regards,

    Hey Aleksandar,

I thought that might be the case, and had added multiple services and employees, but it is still not showing on the front-end. I have tried resetting the component within customise, flushing browser/application caches but nothing is working. Please can you advise how to fix this.

My client also doesn't like the style of just the calendar, as we are looking to offer multiple services with one employee. Based on what you're saying this should be fine, but if this issue still persists (and it wasn't ever shown when purchasing the calendar I don't believe), is there a way I could force this behaviour in the Vue component at launch? Writing custom CSS is a bandaid approach I'd like to avoid.

Thanks! I really appreciate your rapid responses

    Hi again James

It could be that you're using a service, or an employee-specific shortcode, like [ameliabooking employee=1], but I can't say without remote access.

Please provide me a temporary WP-admin login for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue. We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to a third party.

You can write credentials here just check Private Reply so nobody can see them except us.

    Kind Regards,
