We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!

We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.

You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.

While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.

We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.

Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!

    Hi,

I'm looking for a solution to charge a customer a partial payment when booking. The remaining amount will be charged just after the appointment ends. Is this possible?
If not, is there a way to take a deposit when booking and keep as a cancelation fee if the customer doesn't show up?
Also, how can the employee initiate the remaining or full charge?

    Any ideas would be appreciated!

    Hi Marcus,

Unfortunately, deposit payments or partial payments are not an option with the current built-in features of Amelia. At the moment, there are two options: to pay everything online while booking the appointment or pay everything on-site (offline) when customers come to the appointment. The deposit feature is in our to-do list for one of the future updates of Amelia.

There is some workaround - for example if your service costs 20$ and if you want to set deposit of 20% to pay online and rest onsite, you can make service where you will set price of 4$ (which is 20% of 20$) and then explain in service title and description how much is the real price of this service.

If you have any other questions or concerns feel free to open a new ticket and we will gladly help out.
