    Hi

I would like users who create an account on Wordpress to be automatically converted to an Amelia Customer. I have selected this setting in Wordpress that each user on creation becomes an Amelia Customer. It is however not working - I have manually connect the Wordpress User and assign it to Amelia - can this not occur automatically?

    Hello David

You can set WordPress to create every new WordPress user as Amelia Customer, but that doesn't tell Amelia to create a customer, and link the customer with the new user.

I am sorry to disappoint you, but unfortunately something like this is not possible with the plugin's built-in features.

You can enable "Automatically create Amelia Customer user" in Amelia Settings/Roles/Customer, and that would automatically create a new user, Amelia customer, and link them, but only when your customers book an appointment or an event. It can't be done differently.

    Kind Regards,

    Hi Aleksandar

thanks for your reply - I was wondering whether it is possible as a work around to only use the login to Amelia for the entire site - since it also creates a Wordpress user?

    regards

    Hi David,

Aleksandar is out of the office so I will try to help out.

The Amelia login is for the front-end customer panel, but if a WP user is created automatically for the customer when they book an appointment in Amelia ( when the "Automatically create Amelia Customer user" in Amelia Settings/Roles/Customer is enabled) then they will get an email from WP with the login information and they can use that to login to the back-end of WP as Amelia customer .

    Hi

thanks so much for your reply - this looks like a workable option - since I am also hosting a possibility of being able to buy items on tis website and it uses the woo commerce plugin - I would need to override all user login and registration so that it is directed to the Amelia login - is there a url that I can direct all users to in the backend?

    regards

    Hello again David

Amelia's Customer (and Employee) Panel log-in is different from any other log-in you have on your site (WordPress log-in, WooCommerce log-in, Memberpress log-in, or any other log-in you can create). At the moment, there is no way to link the two, so your customers have the same password for WooCommerce and Amelia. It is something frequently requested by our customers, and I do hope our developers will add that to the plugin soon, but I don't believe it's going to be any time soon.

I'll forward this to them again, but I'll kindly ask you to add it as a feature suggestion on this page. Features are pushed up on our "to-do" list when there are a lot of customers requesting those features, so having your vote as a customer can be beneficial to this feature being developed sooner.

So, in short - if you disable all other logins, Amelia's panel log-in won't be linked to any other login, and/or plugin.

    Kind Regards,
