My default time zone in wordpress is US Eastern Time.
1) How quickly do the calendar time zones update when there is a time change due to daylight saving? Some customers will be in time zones that have done the daylight saving change, while others won't...
2) I need verification of the following:
--- The frontend calendar shows the session times in the local time of the customer viewing it.
--- The customer panel shows the session times in the local time of the customer.
--- The employee panel shows the time as US Eastern Time, not the local time of the employee.
--- Receipts of payment show the time in US Eastern Time. (Can this be changed?)
--- The %appointment_date_time% handle in the email notifications shows the local time zone of the customer.
--- The %appointment_date% handle in the email notifications shows US Eastern Time.
The timezone that you set in your WP is applied to Amelia back-end. Please note that you have to choose one of the City timezones there if your want to have the daylight savings applied, as the UTC+- options don't support this/don't recognize the time changes.
Regarding the front-end time slots customers see - they can see them in their own timezone or in the back-end timezone, depending on if you disable or enable this option in Amelia -> Settings -> General. So, if you enable this option customers will see the time slots in the timezone that is set on their local machine/browser
1) Like I mentioned above, the time slots are based on the timezone/time set on the customers' local machine/browser, so the daylight savings time depend on the local machine/browser, but they change automatically when the time change applies based on their timezone setting.
2)
--- The frontend calendar shows the session times in the local time of the customer viewing it.
If you enable this option in Amelia -> Settings -> General, yes, Show booking slots in client time zone
--- The customer panel shows the session times in the local time of the customer.
Yes, the same as the previous one/the time slots in the booking form
--- The employee panel shows the time as US Eastern Time, not the local time of the employee.
The times in the employee panel are the same as in the back-end of Amelia, so the timezone you set in your WP general settings. There isn't a possibility of the employee panel to show times in employees' timezone.
--- Receipts of payment show the time in US Eastern Time. (Can this be changed?)
I assume you are referring to WOoCommerce , but any payment used, there isn't a possibility of changing that.
--- The %appointment_date_time% handle in the email notifications shows the local time zone of the customer.
--- The %appointment_date% handle in the email notifications shows US Eastern Time.
The customer email notification will have the customers' time, while the employees' email notification will have the back-end time.

Hey Marija,
The fact that employee's timezones are not according to their local machine/browser is very problematic. Will Amelia be fixing this in the future?
Hello Aaqib,
This feature is in our list, but it isn't planned for now , so we can't say for sure if and when it could be implemented, unfortunately.

Hello,
I too have this same problem. It renders the platform useless for our employees who work around the world.
