We don't recommend to use PHP mailer since it's not a reliable option.
Please check out our instructions for setting other mail services. If you use SMTP it can be used with Gmail like we provided an example for or any other mail service provider, but you need to have a configuration they need for that. Sometimes using SMTP for some providers like Gmail or similar is not supported by the hosting/server. So you need to check this out with them as well, what configuration is needed for SMTP sending emails on your servers. If you have some other plugin for this purpose, sending emails/ SMTP, on your website, then you need to choose WP Mail as a Mail service in Amelia and it will use that other plugin’s configuration for sending emails.
If you require any further information, let me know.
Sorry for the delayed response, we don't work on weekends.
I'm glad to know the issue was resolved.
Regarding your second question: If the Employee received these notifications, then it means that they work. First, please check the Spam folder for Customer's notifications. Also, please make sure that you enabled these notifications in Amelia -> Notifications -> To Customer.
You received the WP login email (the one with the URL to the WP login page) because the "Automatically Create Amelia user" option is enabled in Roles settings. If you don't want your customers to receive these emails, you should disable this option in Amelia -> Settings -> Roles settings -> Customer.
The link to the Customer Panel needs to be added as a Placeholder %customer_panel_url% in the "Appointment Approved" notification template. The "Customer Panel Access" email template is only sent when a customer requests the password reset through the panel. Thus, once your customer books his/her first appointment, they will receive the Customer Panel URL as well.
Hi,
The email notification was working fine before the plugin got updated. I have attached the screenshot of the error message on the test email.
Noticed the error while adding the employees and they haven't received emails with the employee panel access link.
Using PHP mailer, it shows an email sent, but I don't see any test email in the inbox.
Kindly provide a solution to this issue.
Thank you.
Hi,
Is there any solution to this issue?
Good day!

Hi Liza,
The email notifications are working after following the recommended steps you suggested.
Thank you.
Hi Liza,
We have integrated woocommerce for payment gateway. The employee received the notification for the booking and also the employee panel access email.
However, the customer received only the billing email from woocommerce but not the email for 'customer panel' and 'appointment approved' emails.
Kindly provide a solution at the earliest.
Regards

Hello!
I'm glad to know the issue was resolved.
Can you please provide us with a temporary WP admin login, so we can take a look from the inside?
Also, we will need URL to the page with the Customer Panel.
You can post the credentials under this ticket as a private reply.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Good day!
Thank you for the credentials.
You received the WP login email (the one with the URL to the WP login page) because the "Automatically Create Amelia user" option is enabled in Roles settings.
