I am building a website for Covid 19 Vaccine support. I was hoping you could tell me if Amelia could do the the following:
We need to build a calendar for each of eight sites that are vaccinating people.
We have volunteers who are working as marshalls at each site.
We need a way for any volunteer selecting the site they can work at and then seeing what voluntary work is available for that week on the calendar.
So staff would login to the site and then they would go to the vaccination site they want to work at and say which hours or days they can work by selecting them. This would send a confirmation message to the site manager and employee. If the staff member is sick, we would need a way of alerting the site manager when they go into the calendar and remove their availability.
Hi Liza, Thanks for getting back to me, It will be the same domain. The users would choose their calendar from a drop down menu. The calendars don’t need to be connected to each other and can have different settings. Thanks Steve
Then the booking system you require can be implemented with Amelia Basic license. It's suitable for 1 domain and an unlimited number of subdomains.
You can add a separate booking calendar to each of your sites. They won't be connected with each other. So' all the users, bookings, settings, etc. will not be unique for each site.
Staff would login to the site and then they would go to the vaccination site. - Since you will have 8 different booking systems, your staff will have to log in to each of these sites separately. Even access can't be "centralized".
And say which hours or days they can work by selecting them. - Your staff can be added as Amelia Customers (this label can be changed in Amelia, so they won't get confused) and book their hours from Customer Panel on the front-end. Each booking can have a "Pending" status by default if they need Manager's approval or an "Approved" status if not. After that, an email notification can be sent to both the Manager/Admin and the Staff member. Please note that each appointment will be a Service in Amelia, and a Servis has to be connected to at least one Amelia Employee. So you'll have to create "fake" Employees. You can find more information about roles in Amelia here.
If the staff member is sick, we would need a way of alerting the site manager when they go into the calendar and remove their availability. - Yes, the staff members can go to their Panel and cancel or reschedule the appointment (if you give them permission in Settings). After that Manager/Admin and Staff member will also get a notification.
I tried to make it more or less clear, hope I succeeded
Thanks so,much for your speedy and thorough reply. I really appreciate it.
One last question (for now anyway) , since there will be more than one volunteer per time slot, is it possible to assign multi availability per time slot? I'm thinking there will be four time slots per day ( 7am -10am, 10am -1pm , 1pm-4pm and 4pm-8pm). We will need 4 volunteers per time slot.
Yes, you can set the maximum capacity to 4, and then each time slot will be available for 4 volunteers. After that, once it's fully booked, it'll become unavailable for further bookings.
Also, I'm afraid I forgot to mention that we have 15 days money-back guarantee. That means you can purchase Amelia, test it, and if it turns out Amelia doesn't suit your business, you can request a money refund within 15 days. Just for your information.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.

I hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance, Steve
Hi, Stephen!
Sorry for the delayed response, we don't work on weekends.
And thank you for your interest in Amelia!
In order to figure out if Amelia is suitable for your sites, let me ask a couple of questions:
1. Do you use a different domain for each of the sites or one domain and multiple subdomains?
2. Do you want all 8 calendars to be connected on the back-end or they can have different settings, admins, dashboards, etc.?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
