    Dear TMS Plugins Support,

I am testing the functionality of the Customer Panel and I noticed the following:

If user cancels appointment - both customer and employee receive notification

If user reschedules appointment - both customer and employee receive notification

BUT if user cancels event - only customer receives notification - the employee does not, even if the notification for the employee to receive it is also activated

    Could this be a bug?

    Thanks,

    Christian

    Hello Christian

Unfortunately, this is the default behavior of the plugin.

The "Event cancellation" email is sent only when the whole event is cancelled, not when one attendee cancels his/hers attendance.

This has already been forwarded to our development team, so they can add this notification in one of our future updates.

I'll forward this to them again, but I'll kindly ask you to add it as a feature suggestion on this page. Features are pushed up on our "to-do" list when there are a lot of customers requesting those features, so having your vote as a customer can be beneficial to this feature being developed sooner.

    Kind Regards,

    Aleksandar Vuković

    Hello Aleksandar,

Thank you for your kind reply.

Hmm, thank you for forwarding this. Unfortunately this is an oversight, because most people purchasing Amelia will not have free events, and if one person cancels and Amelia does not pass through automatic refunds based on rules, then I need to constantly check if someone cancels in order to manually process refunds. All this could be avoided with notifications in the back-end and e-mail.

The other reason is, if too many people cancel, then the whole event would be canceled, but again, I would not want to constantly keep an eye out on the number of participants. Instead, one e-mail every time someone cancels can save me a lot of hassle. Amelia is all about automation, so saving the hassle and making the appointments and events stress-free is what it's all about :)

I've added it as a feature request, per your request as well, but I sincerely think this is not so much a feature, as it is an oversight, as explained above.

    Thank you,

    Best wishes,

    Christian
