Hello, I have previously deleted Amelia which had sms notifications credit on there but I had to as it stopped working, you can see from my previous tickets I have had many issues out of no where regarding notifications and email receivers and appointment bookings being shown,
Please do not suggest SMTP as you always suggest whenever I open a plugin and I am tired of waiting in line for you to tell me the same thing over again with no real answer, I literally tried this plugin just before my launch and it started giving me problems. Is there an update coming ..... will my clients see their bookings..... will they be notified , if you try this I would like you to send me a screenshot showing that it works.
Email and SMS notifications are too simple for them not to work if you set everything up correctly. They work just like any mailing application - you enter the connection details, and that's it.
I have to mention SMTP, because that's the most common and easiest way to set up email notifications. You enter the SMTP host (your mailing provider's host address, for example smtp.gmail.com), choose the port and if it's secure or not (TLS, SSL or "deactivated"). Then you enter the email address and the password you use to log into your email account, and that is it.
Based on that, email notifications are sent depending on the trigger, and the trigger is the status of the notification. So, if you enable "Appointment Approved", and email will be sent when the appointment's status changes to "Approved"; same goes for "Appointment Pending", "Appointment Cancelled", "Appointment Rescheduled", and all other notifications.
We have thousands of active users who have absolutely no issues with notifications. A few users do open tickets, like yourself, but in 90% of those cases it turns out to be a user error (wrong credentials in the Notification settings), then (less common) it could be that the hosting provider is not allowing 3rd party SMTP settings, in which case you need to reach out to your hosting provider, and see if they'd be willing to lift that block; or that "Allow less secure apps" is not enabled for Gmail SMTP settings.
The plugin has been updated 2 weeks ago, and it will be updated in about a week again, but no fixes will be included for notifications, simply because there's nothing to fix.
If you can provide me a temporary wp-admin user (administrator), I can connect my own account, and test the notifications on your end. If there are any errors in the console, I'll most likely be able to resolve them, but in case everything works fine, you'll simply see that the notifications work.
You can't test this on our demo sites, because they haven't been set up there. You can, of course, configure notification settings on our demo sites, and try it there, but it'd be better to use your website, since you say you can't get the notifications to work, and we cannot replicate that issue.
If you're going to provide me with wp-admin credentials, make sure to enable the PRIVATE response since this is a public ticket.
