The customer started the booking and filled out all until the booking process is finished successfully. I can see that the Amelia customer and the WP User with the role Amelia Customer was created.
As next I want give him the chance to see the bookings (
ameliacustomerpanel appointments=1]). Therefore he need a password. I realized this with a Ultimate member registration form which is connected to the "customerhome" page. Unfortunately the user must enter the e-mail again.
How can I use the e-mail adress from the valid session?
And do you have a detailed instruction for this customer user registration. Please support me with that.
There isn't a possibility of the Amelia panel to recognize the email of the logged in customer to some other plugin's form - as there isn't an integration between Amelia and that plugin's data , unfortunately. Only if the customers is logged in to WP they will be able to access the front-end panel without logging in again - as the customer in Amelia is connected to a WP user.
There isn't a user registration in Amelia - meaning there isn't an option for them to sign up to the panel. For setting up a password in the customer panel - customers can use the WP credentials (if the option to automatically create a customer in WP is on - which in your case is true, as you mentioned, the customer is created both in Amelia and in WP). Also, customers can access the Customer panel via a link in the email notification sent to them for a booked appointment , and when they access it the first time they create a password and later on they use their email/password to login to the Panel. You are adding the customer panel link to the notifications by adding a placeholder for it to the notification you want on the Notifications page.
thanks for the reply. Ok, I will use the way about the notification. What I need is a real best practice sample demo with a combiend user registration. Your existing demos are not really helpful for this case.
Sorry about that, but those are the only demos that we have - they are for Amelia only (can't cover other plugins/tools in WP). But for any questions or issues you have we are here to answer them and help out.
If you have any other questions or concerns feel free to open a new ticket and we will gladly help out.
