The fix in that ticket was that we simply removed the semi-colon ( ; ) in the query. So, if your query is this:
SELECT * FROM table;
Remove the semi-colon at the end, and let me know if that helped

There was no semi column in my query. I have managed to fix this now.
First I upgraded to version 3.4 (released this morning). Problem was still there.
