This can happen for a lot of reasons, from a conflict with another plugin, to some issues within the data that's being pulled into the plugin, but I can't say without taking a look.
Please tell me which table ID this is, and provide me a temporary WP-admin login for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue. We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course we do not provide login data to third party.

I get the error message "There was an error trying to insert a record".
I get this when I am editing too... but it does update after I refresh the page. So I think this is a false negative message when editing.
I can't New Entry that doesn't work.

Hello Ron
Stephen had an incorrect column saved as the "ID column for editing" I suppose, but he never responded to the ticket, so I can't say for sure.
Please open a new private ticket, where you can share your credentials with us, and we'll gladly check out the issue on your website.
Kind Regards,
