    Hi there,

I have two sites for e-training where the student finishes the course and then books into a 1-2-1 vid chat.

Is there a way to link the two sites systems so there's 1 booking system. Meaning when a student books in on one site, it syncs both booking systems so there's no double booking?

    Hi, Simon!

Sorry for the delayed response, we don't work on weekends.

And thank you for choosing Amelia!

Unfortunately, it cannot work the way you require. In a multi-site environment, all the sites (no matter if they have different domains or the same domain with subdomains) are separate sites. That means the data is saved in different databases.

But you still can avoid overbooking with a workaround. If you connect the same Employees to the same Google Calendars on both sites, the Calendars will be receiving bookings from them and blocking busy time slots.

Please note that in order to set it this way, you'll have to enable Remove Calendar Busy Slots in Amelia -> Settings -> Integrations -> Google Calendar:

If you have any other questions, we'll gladly help you.

    Hi, Simon!

Sorry for that, but at least you nailed it, so congrats!

Are you using Services or Events in Amelia? Unfortunately, at the moment Events can't be synchronized with Google Calendar, so Services is the only way to make it work.

Please make sure you added the Employees Calendar to Employee's Settings (Amelia -> Employees -> Edit Employee -> Details):

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Hi Liza

We are now live and have people booking on our courses through Amelia

However, we are not receiving any email notifications and they aren’t linking them to the zoom account we have integrated. We have missed some training days and our customers are not happy

    Please can you advise

    Hi, Simon!

    I'm sorry to hear that.

Could you please provide us a temporary WP Admin access, so we will investigate the issue? You can post the credentials as a reply to this ticket, just make sure you use private mode.

We don't interfere with any data except for the plugin and, of course, we don't provide login details to a third party.

    Best Regards.

    Hi, Simon!

    Thank you for the credentials.

I've noticed that you use the SG Optimizer plugin. Please exclude pages with Amelia from its settings to in order prevent issues in the future (it's not related to the current inquiry, but there's a conflict between these two plugins, and one day it can cause a problem).

Regarding notifications: please configure email service settings by following this documentation. We recommend to use STMP since the PHP mail service isn't that reliable.

Also, you should add Zoom placeholders to the notifications, so your Employees and Customers will be able to host/join meetings.

Go to the Notifications page, click on the “Show email placeholders” button, and the modal will show with all currently allowed placeholders. Scroll down to the bottom of the modal and you will see the placeholders for Zoom. For appointments you will have two placeholders:

    1. %zoom_host_url% – this is the placeholder that you need to paste to employees’ appointment notifications.
    2. %zoom_join_url% – this is the placeholder that you need to paste to customers’ appointment notifications.

For events, once you click on one of the event booking notifications you will see four different placeholders at the bottom of the list:

    1. %zoom_host_url_date% – this is the placeholder that you need to paste in employees’ event notifications if you want to show the URL with date.
    2. %zoom_host_url_date_time% – this is the placeholder that you need to paste in employees’ event notifications if you want to show the URL with date and time
    3. %zoom_join_url_date% – this is the placeholder that you need to paste in customers’ event notifications if you want to show the URL with date.
    4. %zoom_join_url_date_time% – this is the placeholder that you need to paste in customers’ event notifications if you want to show the URL with date and time.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
